Working boots would be best, unless you plan to stay inside.
Rubber boots. You can get them at a farm store, like Fleet Farm. They wash off easily and they go high enough up that you don’t have to worry about crap getting in your shoes! They can also slip right over normal shoes, like tennis shoes (which are comfy).
