Maybe get the cows
Feed, water, fences, veterinarian or knowledge of it,a desire to work at times for less than nothing every day. Most of us have a regular job for steady income to subsidize our hobbies.Profits are never guaranteed.Even if you can do everything right, the market prices for livestock can go against you.Stay away from the board of trade unless you want to use it to lock in a profit. That would apply to fed cattle, not the cow-calf.Oh yes, probably should register your premise, the county agent can help you with that.Keep your numbers under the head allowed per area unless you want to spend alot of money to handle the feedlot run off.www.agr.ne.gov,may give you some help too.I personally think that you should try this if that’s what you really want to do,but it is a gamble and if you don’t have it to loose you shouldn’t risk it.I wish you well.
